A Bradford man was charged with assault after South Simcoe Police Service officers recently responded to a report of a domestic dispute.
A female caller initially reported that her husband had assaulted her. Once on-scene, the victim denied an assault had occurred. Police arrested the husband and charged him with one count of assault. He cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim. The victim had no physical injuries.
South Simcoe Police Service is committed to investigating all incidents relating to domestic violence and providing assistance to victims. Investigators urge anyone who is being abused or is aware of abuse occurring to contact police.
