Bradford senior with 'poor driving history' accused of hit-and-run

A 61-year-old Bradford man was charged with seven offences following a fail to remain collision in Bradford.

On Monday, Dec. 23, 2019 around 4:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers received a report of a hit and run collision at the four-way stop intersection of John Street East and Colbourne Street. The victim was unhurt. The suspect vehicle left the scene.

Witnesses provided a description and police identified a suspect due to a previous poor driving history. Officers located the suspect vehicle parked at a business on Holland Street East and the suspect was arrested inside.

As a result of investigation, a 61-year-old Bradford man was charged with:
    •    Unsafe turn
    •    Careless driving
    •    Fail to remain
    •    Fail to report accident
    •    Drive without permit
    •    Drive while under suspension
    •    Drive without insurance
