Bradford woman charged after failure to stop after accident

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 around 7:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a fail to remain collision at the intersection of Miller Park Avenue and West Park Avenue in Bradford.  

The victim told police that a vehicle turning left from West Park onto Miller park jumped the curb, drove across the grass and hit the victim's van which was eastbound on Miller Park.  

The suspect vehicle left the scene. No one in the van was injured.

Investigation led police to an address in Bradford and a suspect was arrested.

As a result of investigation, 56-year-old Lisa Ann Weston of Bradford was charged with Operation while prohibited, Failure to stop after accident, two counts of Driving while under suspension and Drive motor vehicle no licence.  

The vehicle was impounded for 45 days and the accused was released with a future court date.
