Emergency crews responded to a car fire in the city’s north end last night, which was quickly brought under control by firefighters.
Barrie police received the call at 7:31 p.m. on Thursday, and discovered a fully engulfed vehicle on Glenwood Drive.
“The individual was operating his vehicle, and it caught fire,” Barrie police communications coordinator Peter Leon said Friday morning.
“Nothing suspicious, although, as it turned out in the end, he was a suspended driver and was charged with driving under suspension, by police,” he added.
