Car hits two trees and a house. Driver charged with impaired

On Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:15 p.m., [it is alleged that] a 21-year-old Bradford man, lost control of his vehicle on Downey Emerald Drive striking a tree on the boulevard. The man drove back on to the roadway losing control again and striking another tree and then the porch of a house. No one was injured, and the owner of the house came out to survey the porch damage.

The driver left the scene and then returned when officers arrived. While speaking to an officer, the man smelled of alcohol and was given a roadside test which he failed. The man was arrested and taken to the station for further test, that showed he was over the limit of 80 mgs.

The man now faces charges of operation while impaired - alcohol, and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration. The man had his vehicle impounded for seven days and lost his licence for 90 days.

INNISFIL - On Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 11:30 p.m., officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on a residential street in Alcona when a 33-year-old Innisfil man drove up to the officers. The officers could smell alcohol coming from the man as he spoke to them. The man was given a road side test which he failed, and was then arrested and taken to the station for further tests. Those tests resulted in the man blowing twice the legal limit.

His drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. The man now faces charges of operation while impaired - alcohol, operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration, and breach of probation. He was released with a future Criminal Court date with a judge.
