TOWNSHIIP OF ADJALA - TOSORONTIO – At approximately 11 a.m. on Sept. 22, 2020, the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a commercial motor vehicle crash on the Adjala-Tosorontio/New Tecumseth Townline Road, between the 2nd and 3rd concessions.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a commercial motor vehicle in the west ditch. The vehicle had been northbound on the Townline Road when it apparently lost control and travelled into the west ditch where it struck a tree.
The driver and single occupant of the vehicle succumbed to injuries received as a result of the crash.
OPP are being assisted at the scene by Adjala-Tosorontio Fire Service and Technical Traffic Collision Investigations (TTCI).
The Townline Road is closed between the 2nd and 3rd Concessions and will be for some time. This crash is under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
