Computer equipment stolen from school as suspect poses as new student

South Simcoe Police Service officers are appealing to the public for help following a theft at a Bradford school.

On Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 at approximately 10:30 a.m., police were called to Bradford District High School on Professor Day Drive in Bradford. Once on scene, officers learned that at approximately 9:30 a.m., an unknown male suspect entered the school. The suspect was approached by staff and he identified himself as a new registrant, which the school was expecting. The suspect then entered a classroom and stole computer equipment before leaving the school.

Police are releasing security camera images in an effort to identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as:
    •    male
    •    white
    •    approximately 17-20 years of age
    •    about 5'8"
    •    thin build
    •    dark shaggy hair
    •    wearing a mask
    •    black toque
    •    black jacket
    •    black "Crooks" hoodie
    •    grey track pants
    •    brown work boots
