An Innisfil man is facing charges after police say he crashed a vehicle and fled the scene Friday.
Shortly before midnight, South Simcoe police responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the area of Leslie Drive and Adullam Avenue in Innisfil. Police arrived to find downed power lines and a broken utility pole, but the vehicle was gone, according to a news release.
The investigation led officers to an Innisfil address, where the vehicle was located and the driver, who was not injured, was arrested.
The 32-year-old man has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol). His licence is being suspended for 90 days and the vehicle is being impounded for seven days.
