Driver receives three-day suspension during RIDE check

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at 10:30 p.m.,  South Simcoe Police Service officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. Program at the intersection of Britannia Avenue and Colborne Street in Bradford.

Police stopped a vehicle and detected an odour of alcohol when speaking to the driver.  

After a Warn was registered on a roadside screening device test, a 39-year-old Bradford man was issued a three-day warn range suspension and 5 summons:  

  • Drive Under Suspension 
  • Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence  
  • Novice Driver BAC Above Zero  
  • Fail To Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle  
  • Fail To Have Insurance Card
