Drug probe in Alcona leads to seizure of cocaine, fentanyl

The South Simcoe Police Service Street Crime Unit has charged two people and seized a quantity of drugs following an investigation in Alcona.

On Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, officers executed a search warrant at a home in the Innisfil Beach Road and Webster Boulevard area.  
 
As a result of the investigation, Jeffrey Preston, 40, of Innisfil was charged with drug possession (suspected cocaine) and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

During the search warrant officers seized:

  • Approximately 2 ounces of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $4,000
  • Approximately 4 ounces of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $13,200
  • $1,800 in cash

Also arrested was Ampntenor Belkora, 21, of Innisfil,  who is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (suspected cocaine) and three counts of failing to comply with his recognizance.

Located in relation to Belkora was:

  • 31 Prozac tablets
  • 1/4 ounce of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $500
  • 2 imitation firearms

Both accused were released with future court dates.
