One person has been left homeless after Barrie firefighters responded to a blaze in the city’s south end early this morning.
Crews were notified shortly after midnight on March 6 about a residential blaze on Essa Road, between Innisfil Street and Anne Street South.
Barrie Fire and Emergency Service dispatched five of its trucks.
Crews battled the flames for around three hours before bringing it under control.
“Police still have control of the house for security as the investigation starts today," a senior officer told BradfordToday and InnisfilToday.
What caused the fire remains under investigation. There was no word on a damage estimate.
There were no reports of injuries.
