Erratic driving, speeding leads to impaired charges for Bradford man

Officers responded after receiving a citizen complaint

On Saturday, April 10, 2021 at approximately 4:50 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called regarding a driving complaint.

Information received was that a vehicle was travelling erratically and at a high rate of speed southbound on Highway 400. Officers subsequently attended an address in Bradford where they observed the vehicle pull into the driveway. The driver was arrested for impaired driving, dangerous driving and then transported to South Division.

As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Eamon Reilly of Bradford was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol, and dangerous operation.  

His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released with a future court date.

One hundred per cent of impaired driving incidents are preventable and not worth the risk  Everyone can play a role in road safety by calling 911 and reporting suspected impaired drivers.
