Gas station robbed, suspect fled with cash

An employee told officers that a man armed with what appeared to be a handgun entered the station and made a demand for cash

South Simcoe Police Service officers are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect following an armed robbery in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

On Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 around 12:30 a.m., police were called to a gas station near Highway 400 and County Road 88 for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, they spoke with an employee who said that a man armed with what appeared to be a handgun had entered the station and made a demand for cash. The employee complied and the suspect fled with a quantity of cash. The employee was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as:

  • White
  • 25 -28 years old
  • 5'3"
  • Thin face, thin build and clean shaven
  • Wearing a grey hooded sweater and blue jeans


The suspect left the scene in a black, sedan-type vehicle.
