INNISFIL - On Sunday, April 5, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in Innisfil.
A traffic stop was conducted in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and 25th Sideroad and police detected an odour of alcohol on the driver. After a fail was registered on a roadside screening device, the driver was transported to North Division where breath test readings were over the legal limit.
As a result, 40-year-old Daniel Plaatjes of Innisfil was charged with operation while impaired and over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded.
