INNISFIL - A 75-year-old Innisfil man is facing charges after a coffee shop employee in Innisfil was threatened for ordering the wrong type of food.

On Friday July 6, 2018 police were called to the coffee shop on Innisfil Beach Rd. for a report of someone pointing a firearm.

Police were told that at approximately 12:30 p.m., a man entered the shop and placed an order. The clerk misunderstood what he was saying and mistakenly inputted the wrong order.

The man indicated he had a gun and threatened the clerk. He then picked up his purchase and drove off in an unknown direction.

Police searched for the accused and eventually located him at his residence. He was placed under arrest. The weapon turned out to be a collapsible cane.

The man was charged with utter threats, assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous. He was released with a future court date.
