This driver may start leaving a little earlier for work — once he gets his licence back.
South Simcoe police say they charged a 20-year-old Barrie man after his vehicle was allegedly caught going 133 kilometres per hour in a 60 km/h zone. The incident happened on 10 Sideroad in Bradford March 19 at around 11:30 p.m.
When questioned about the excessive speed, the man said he was “late for work,” the department claims.
He was charged with stunt driving. As well, his licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14.
Police remind residents there is no excuse for speeding, and they urge anyone exceeding posted limits to slow down.
