Man arrested at Barrie home faces drug-trafficking charges

Scarborough man, 23, charged with allegedly selling cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and oxycodone

City police arrested a 23-year-old Scarborough man for allegedly possessing and trafficking cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and oxycodone after officers were called to a Boys Street home near downtown Barrie for a "suspicious incident."

The arrest happened on Friday, Oct. 6, just before 9:30 p.m.

“He was held for bail as he also had outstanding warrants,” said a statement posted by Barrie police to X (formerly Twitter).

Police arrived at the residence due to a call related to “concern for the well-being of an individual in the house,” Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon said.

Leon also noted there were two other people arrested, but they were not charged.
