Man locks himself in restaurant's back room to avoid knife-wielding ex-roommate: police

On Monday, June 17, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. an employee at a Bradford restaurant called police to report an ex-room mate was threatening him. The employee had locked himself in the back of the restaurant, as the suspect indicated he had a knife.

Police located the suspect, a 22-year-old Bradford man, trying to get into the locked rear entrance restaurant door. The man was arrested without incident and a knife was found on the man.

No one was injured as a result of this incident.

He was charged with Uttering Death Threats and Weapons Dangerous. The man was released with conditions he not communicate with the victim or attend the restaurant and not carry any weapons as defined in the Criminal Code.
