One charged with impaired after vehicle leaves roadway, hits post in Innisfil

On Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the South Simcoe Police Service responded to report of a single-vehicle collision in the area of Sideroad 5 and County Road 89 in Innisfil.  

A vehicle had driven off the roadway and hit a wooden post. The driver, who was uninjured, was arrested.

As a result of the investigation, 48-year-old John Mollon of Angus was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol and possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public place.

His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
