One person airlifted to Toronto hospital following Alliston house fire

Police remain at Albert Street scene to secure the area while investigation continues; Fire marshal attending today

Nottawasaga OPP officers responded to a house fire on Albert Street in Alliston on Sunday night.

On Sunday, March 20, 2021, at approximately 7:20 p.m., police received a call of a structure fire. Police arrived on scene along with New Tecumseth firefighters and Simcoe County paramedics.

Upon arrival, first-responders observed a home engulfed in flames. New Tecumseth firefighters rescued one female from the residence who was assessed on scene by paramedics and transported to a local hospital. She was later airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

The province's Office of the Fire Marshal was notified and will be attending the scene today.

Police remain at the scene to secure the area while the investigation continues.
