TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ADJALA-TOSORONTIO & ESSA TOWNSHIP- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recently been made aware of safety concerns for young children playing on commercial property in Tottenham, Town of New Tecumseth.
On Thursday, May 20, 2021, police were informed that children have been entering F&P Manufacturing Incorporated, located at 1 Nolan Rd, in Tottenham, New Tecumseth. The youth have been climbing over a fence from a neighbouring park area.
Although youth might believe it is a fun place to explore, the company and police are concerned for their well-being and safety. The private property has tractor trailers coming and going with constant movement on the property, in addition to die storage and maintenance area and a pond.
With the weather getting warmer and children more likely to be out playing, please keep this in mind. Police are requesting parents have a discussion with their children; not only in relation to the above mentioned property but also any other properties of concern.
