Palgrave man charged with impaired after collision in Bradford

The driver was more than twice over the legal limit

On Thursday, April 23, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service officers were called about a suspected impaired driver following a single vehicle collision in Bradford.

Officers attended Canal Rd. just east of Hwy 400 where they observed extensive damage to the vehicle after it struck a sign and rolled before coming to rest short of entering the canal. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the South Division for a breath test where results registered more than twice the legal limit.  

34-year-old Clayton Marshall of Palgrave was charged with:

  • Impaired operation,
  • Over 80,
  • Dangerous Driving; and
  • Driving while prohibited.

His licence was suspended for 90 days.  

He was released with a future court date.
