Perfferlaw man charged with impaired after being caught speeding in Bradford

Driver issued a 90-day driving suspension and vehicle impounded for seven days

A 56-year-old Pefferlaw man was charged with over 80 after police stopped a speeding vehicle in Bradford.

On Saturday, March 7, 2020 around 9:30 a.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was tracked at 80 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The officer detected an odour of alcohol and the driver was arrested after failing a roadside screening device test. He was transported to South Division for further testing.

As a result of investigation, 56-year-old Steven Brown of Pefferlaw was charged with over 80, failure or refusal to comply with demand and speeding. He was issued a 90-day driving suspension and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
