Police probing report of gunshots in Bradford

Shots fired after physical altercation; witnesses sought

On Friday, April 29, at approximately 1:08 a.m., the South Simcoe Police Service responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Simcoe Road and Centre Street in Bradford.

Once on scene, police determined a verbal altercation between two men turned physical and ended in shots being fired by one of them. Both men were no longer on scene when police arrived. At this time, there are no known victims.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward who have not already spoken to police. We also want to hear from anyone with cellphone video or security/dash cam footage.

The investigation is ongoing.
