Police official says this afternoon's activity not related to Wednesday's bomb incident on Anne Street; few others details released

Heavily armed police tactical officers raided a home on Huronia Road in south-end Barrie around 3 p.m., Thursday.

An armoured police vehicle, along with officers brandishing shields and weapons, could be seen at the location.

“It pertains to an ongoing investigation. Further information will be provided when the investigation permits,” Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon said.

Leon did say the activity is not related to Wednesday's bomb incident on Anne Street North, which occurred around 3 a.m. That investigation remains ongoing.

BradfordToday will have more information as it becomes available.
