Police raid nets 3D printed handgun, silencer and ammunition in King

York Regional Police have seized illegal firearms and charged a man following an investigation in King Township. 

Officers executed a search warrant on Oct. 20 at a rural property on Highway 9 between the 11th Concession and 15th Sideroad, YRP said in a news release.

Officers seized five illegal handguns, including a 3D printed handgun, as well as a silencer, ammunition and several magazines, two of which were prohibited high-capacity magazines, police allege.

George Zagouris, 51, of King is charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x5 
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition x5 
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device x3 
  • Careless Storage of Firearm x2 

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Zagouris is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
