Report of erratic driver leads to impaired charge for Toronto man in Bradford

On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at approximately 6:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in Bradford.  Multiple callers reported that a vehicle was driving erratically with its hazard lights on southbound on Yonge Street. 

A traffic stop was conducted on Barrie Street and the driver was arrested for impaired driving.

As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old Karthikan Kasalingam of Toronto was charged with operation while impaired, dangerous operation and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

  His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
