Six non-restricted firearms stolen from Innisfil home

South Simcoe police are searching for a suspect after half a dozen guns were taken from an Innisfil home at some point over the last few days.

Officers say the break-and-enter incident occurred at a residence on Raynor Court, located just north of the Innisfil Beach Road and 25th Sideroad intersection, sometime between the evening of March 30 and the morning of April 3. The home was not occupied at the time of the break in.  

During the incident, six non-restricted firearms were stolen, including a Remington 1100 12-gauge shotgun, Beretta 682 under-over 12-gauge shotgun, Remington 7400 30-06 semi-automatic rifle, Tikka M595 .300 bolt-action rifle, Remington 22-calibre semi-automatic rifle and Gamo .177 high-velocity pellet rifle. 

Uniform patrol, forensic identification and street crime unit officers are actively investigating the matter. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to come forward immediately.
