The South Simcoe Police Service laid the following impaired driving charges from Tuesday, March 22 to Wednesday, March 23.
On Wednesday, March 23, at approximately 10:30 p.m., an officer patrolling the area of 5th Sideroad north of 10th Line in Bradford observed a vehicle in a ditch. The driver was not injured.
As a result of the investigation, 31-year-old Glenn Latouche-Adbool of Brampton was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired—excess blood alcohol. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
On Wednesday, March 23, at approximately 4 p.m., police responded to Sideroad 20 south of Gilford Road in Innisfil for a single vehicle into a ditch. The driver was not injured.
As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Elizabeth Babineau of Bradford was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired—excess blood alcohol. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
On Tuesday, March 22, at approximately 9:56 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic driver on County Road 88 from County Road 27 in Bradford. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Peter Dubecz of Bradford was charged with operation while impaired—excess blood alcohol. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
Impaired driving, whether by alcohol or drugs, continues to kill or injure more Canadians than any other crime yet its tragic consequences are 100 per cent preventable. During this National Impaired Driving Prevention Week and year-round, we continue to work with our residents to ensure our roads are safe.
