Suspect sought in alleged assault outside Alliston medical building

Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a suspect involved in an apparent assault Thursday in Alliston.

In a news release, Nottawasaga OPP said a person was assaulted at about 4:25 p.m. in the area of the Mill Pond Medical Centre on Victoria Street West.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about six feet tall with an average build, long brown hair, a scraggly beard and a silver hoop earring. He was wearing a bright red face covering, black leather gloves, light brown pants, a grey sweater, white socks and maroon leather shoes with white laces, and had a snake tattoo on the top of his left hand.

Police are not releasing any further information “due to the nature of the investigation and to protect the integrity and privacy of the victim,” but they believe there were witnesses in the area during the time of the incident.

Police are asking people to check their video or dash camera footage for anyone matching the suspect’s description.
