Suspects sought in Innisfil home invasion, robbery

Police say several firearms were stolen from residence Thursday

Police are seeking the public’s help as they investigate a robbery and home invasion in Innisfil.

Members of the South Simcoe Police Service responded Thursday at about 8:30 p.m. to an armed home invasion at a residence. Witnesses said four armed suspects entered the home and stole several firearms.

One victim was assaulted before the suspects fled in a black SUV, which police believe was being driven by a fifth suspect. The victim sustained minor injuries in the assault.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of Big Bay Point Road and West Street during the time of the incident and might have witnessed suspicious activity or the suspect vehicle, or who has dash cam or security camera footage, to contact Det.-Const. The investigation is in the early stages and police say further information will be released when appropriate.
