Teen hit by multiple vehicles, killed in Vaughan crash: Police

A 15-year-old boy was killed in a motor vehicle collision in Vaughan this morning, York Regional Police said.

Police responded to a call that a pedestrian was struck at about 7:24 a.m. Jan. 18 in the area of Weston Road and Villa Royale Avenue.

Police believe he was struck by at least two vehicles. The involved vehicles remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to a trauma hospital where he was pronounced deceased, police said.

York Regional Police have closed Weston Road from Maria Antonia Road to Davos Road and Ashberry Boulevard.

The major collision investigation unit remains on the scene and police are asking any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage or video surveillance of the area to contact the police.
