More than a year after a home invasion and robbery occurred in Bradford West Gwillimbury, a suspect has been arrested.

A Toronto man has been charged by the South Simcoe Police Service in connection with the incident from Feb. 22, 2022, when four suspects forced their way into a residence near Professor Day Drive and West Park Avenue, demanding cash and other items. They fled in a nearby getaway vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.

On Wednesday, police arrested a 28-year-old man and charged him with robbery, break and enter, and wearing a disguise with intent. He was held pending a bail hearing.

The investigation is continuing, and police believe the robbery was a targeted incident, saying there is no concern for public safety.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.-Const. Andrew Smith at [email protected] or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

South Simcoe police thanked Peel Regional Police’s 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau and members of the public for their assistance.
