Toronto man issued license suspension following RIDE check in Bradford

A 50-year-old Toronto man was issued a three-day licence suspension as a result of a RIDE program in Bradford.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019 around 12:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers stopped a vehicle at a RIDE program at 10th Sideroad and Line 6. Police detected an odour of alcohol. A caution was registered from a roadside screening device test.  As a result, the driver's licence was suspended for three days.

We conduct random RIDE programs year round in our ongoing efforts to keep impaired drivers off our roads. Impaired driving is a crime in progress. Never hesitate to safely call 9-1-1 if you spot a suspected impaired driver.

On Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 91 calls for service.
