Traffic stop results in impaired driving, drug charges for Bradford man

A 29-year-old Bradford man is charged with impaired driving, over 80 and possession of drugs after a citizen reported a suspected impaired driver.

On Saturday, Jan. 19, 2018 around 2 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to the area of Holland Street West and West Park Avenue. Police conducted a traffic stop. A man was arrested for impaired care and control. Breath tests later resulted in readings of over 80. The man was charged impaired driving, over 80 and possession of suspected cocaine. He was later released with a future court date.

Thank you to the citizen that alerted us to this impaired driver. By working together, we can make our roads safe for everyone. Impaired driving is the leading criminal cause of death and serious injury in Canada. Let's curb the statistics. Drive sober.

INNISFIL - On Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 around 10 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were patrolling the area of Innisfil Beach Road and the 25th Sideroad of Innisfil.

An officer conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and Adullam Avenue. An odour of alcohol was detected. A blood alcohol content in the warn range was registered on a roadside screening device. A 32-year-old Innisfil man had his driver's licence suspended for seven days.
