Two Bradford residents charged with impaired driving

A 53-year-old was charged after driving erratically, while a 61-year-old was charged in a separate incident, police say

Two Bradford residents have been charged with impaired driving this week.

At about 8:30 p.m. Monday, South Simcoe police responded to a report of a vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Highway 400 and County Road 88.

Alexander Kaplun, 53, has been charged with operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).

Police responded to another report of an erratic driver Wednesday at about 7:30 p.m. near Adams Street and Line 6, where a vehicle struck a tree and was driven onto a lawn.

Venran Daley, 61, has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol), and dangerous operation.

Both drivers will have their licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
