Two impaired driving charges over the weekend in South Simcoe

In two separate incidents, A 33-year-old Keswick woman and a 37-year-old Innisfil man were charged with impaired driving over the weekend

A 33-year-old Keswick woman was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 after police stopped a vehicle for speeding in Bradford.

On Saturday, Oct. 19,  2019 around 10:30 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle was clocked at 75 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone on Dissette
Street.  

The driver was transported to South Division after a fail was registered on a roadside screening device test.  Further testing resulted in readings of more
than three times the legal limit.  

A 33-year-old Keswick woman was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.

INNISFIL - A 37-year-old Innisfil man was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 after police were called about a suspected impaired driver.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019 at 2:30 a.m., a citizen called South Simcoe Police Service to report a vehicle driving erratically and below the posted speed limit on Innisfil Beach Road.  

After a traffic stop, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to North Division where breath tests readings were almost three times over the legal limit.  

A 37-year-old Innisfil man was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80. He was issued a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
