Registration is now open for the BWG Library’s 2021 Summer Reading Clubs for adults, teens and children! Earn badges and the chance to win prizes by registering for these virtual clubs for free through Beanstack, available through the app store and on desktop.

Summer reading programs are for readers of all ages. The entire family can sign up, track their reading and take part in challenges on Beanstack.  In fact, Beanstack will allow you to track your reading year-round and join the BWG Library in various reading challenges, including the all-new summer challenges and activities.  Sign up for Beanstack through bwglibrary.beanstack.com or download the mobile app on your Android or iPhone.

Earn badges by hitting reading milestones in books or minutes spent reading, by submitting book reviews and achieving other goals, including outdoor exploration for kids or using eResources for adults.  For every badge you earn, your name is entered into a draw for cool prizes. We will be sharing more details in the upcoming weeks, but here is a quick glance at this year’s Summer Reading Clubs:

TD Summer Reading Club

It’s GAME ON for kids with the TD Summer Reading Club. The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests and all abilities and this year, our TD Summer Reading Club print materials are back! Once registered, you will receive details on how to pick up your TDSRC notebook, stickers, web access code and more! The first 100 picked up will receive a free craft kit, too.

BWGPL Teen Summer Reading

Be one of the first 25 teens to join the BWG Library’s Teen Summer Reading Club and receive a sweet treat goodie bag, full of delicious incentives to participate! This year’s theme is ‘Reading is Sweet’ and we make sure that the sweetness starts from day one.

Adult Summer Reading Programs

This year, we have two reading challenges for adults in BWG and they both use the Beanstack platform to help you log your reading and engage in challenges. The BWGPL Adult Summer Reading Challenge is a new and improved version of our past adult summer reading clubs with a bonus chance at winning gift certificates at local businesses.  The Simcoe Reads Challenge is a friendly competition between five local libraries where we debate why our book is the one that Simcoe County should read this year.
