Carrot Fest FAQ

 

Can I bring my Dog?

Absolutely you can! Just keep in mind the projected weather of the day, the temperature of the asphalt, the crowds, and the water needs of your pet.

 

Where are the washrooms located?

Regular and accessible washrooms will be located in the parking lot at 61 Holland Street East, the parking lot at the intersection of John Street & Barrie Street and the corner of Drury & Mary Street. 

 

Where are the stages located? 

The TD Stage is located in the parking lot of the Courthouse on Holland St East and the Experience Simcoe Stage is located on Simcoe Road.

 

Where is the Busker Pitch located?

The Great Gulf busker pitch will be located on Holland St West and just past Moore St.

 

Is there seating?

Yes, there is. Picnic tables will be located at both the TD Stage and the Experience Simcoe Stage. 

 

Will there be water to drink?

Yes. There will be a water cart located at the Carrot Fest information booth in the center of Holland St and Simcoe/Barrie St intersection. Please bring your own bottle. Reusable water bottles are also available to purchase.

 

What is happening at the Bradford & District Memorial Centre this year?

On Saturday the 19th the following attractions will take place:

 

Aqua Dogs: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

PWA Wrestling Quest for the Cup 15 (Free Show): 12:00pm

PWA Wrestling Quest for the Cup 15 (Ticketed Show): 7:00pm

 

Will there be a beer garden this year?

Yes, the beer garden will be located on Simcoe Road.

Do vendors accept card/tap?

Some may, but it varies per vendor. We recommend your bring cash just in case.

 

What happens if it rains?

Carrot Fest is a rain-or-shine event. Please plan accordingly.

 

Where can I take cover from the sun?

With Carrot Fest being a street fair, there will be limited shade. Umbrellas will be available in the seating areas. Please make use of the misting tent located at the Courthouse so you can beat the heat. 

We suggest you properly prepare for the heat and sun before you come to Carrot Fest and stay hydrated throughout the evening.

 

What roads will be closed?

 

The following roads will be closed on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 am:

•           Holland Street from Drury Street to Nelson Street

•           Simcoe Road from Holland Street to where it intersects with Mary Street

•           Barrie Street from John Street to Holland Street

 

The following roads will be closed on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 6:00 am:

•           Holland Street from Holland Court to Colborne Street

•           Simcoe Road from Holland Street to where it intersects with Mary Street

•           Barrie Street from John Street to Holland Street

 

All roads will re-open by 3:00 am on Sunday, August 20, 2023

 

What is the detour route due to the road closures?

Is there free parking?

Yes, while spots last. Free parking is available in municipal parking lots located at 29 Drury Street, 24 John Street West and 31 Barrie Street.
