This March 8th celebrate the women in your life on International Women’s Day!
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day event to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, as well as raise awareness about gender equality and to advocate for women’s rights and empowerment. The day is often marked with marches, conferences, art exhibitions, fundraisers, and more. How will you celebrate this year?
The theme for IWD 2024 is Inclusion. Inclusion is important for everyone, but in particular for women because: it ensures women have the same opportunities as men to participate in society (education, employment, leadership, etc.), it allows women to provide diverse perspectives to problems leading to a wider array of solutions and better decision-making, and it empowers women to pursue their goals and effectively contribute to their communities. Lastly, inclusion helps break down gender norms and stereotypes leading the way for more acceptance in future generations. So, for IWD 2024 let’s #InspireInclusion.
