Children’s virtual programs provide actual support

Librarians offer virtual storytimes, crafts, babytimes and science activities to support families

Miss Andrea, Miss Michelle and Miss Bailey are community favourites with the under-seven crowd, and these BWG librarians are here for you and your family.This is good news for parents and caregivers who need help entertaining youngsters, since our librarians have been busy filling Facebook with online storytimes, crafts, brain games and many other virtual programs.

Online Storytime is posted every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. and you can join Miss Andrea for songs, rhymes and stories.New episodes are posted weeklyon Facebook, or check out the whole playlist for past episodes. Miss Michelle’s crafts are posted every Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m., with a bonus craft incorporated after Miss Andrea’s Storytimes on Thursday mornings.If you have a great craft idea for Miss Michelle to bring to life, you can email [email protected] or message the BWG Library through Facebook.

New Online Babytime with Miss Andrea videos are posted every Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.Online Babytime with Miss Andrea is a resource for parents of infants.This program empowers parents to interact with their child in the same way that they would have had they been able to visit the BWG Library and participate in a live Babytime.
