BWG Prepared is a series of monthly tips that will help you and your family prepare for an emergency. At the end of the year, you will have a fully stocked kit for your home in case an emergency occurs.
In March, it’s all about heat and light. Put at least one flashlight and extra batteries in your kit to ensure you don’t get left in the dark! Also gather one emergency blanket per family member – either an ordinary blanket, or you can save space in your kit by purchasing special lightweight emergency blankets. A blanket is a simple way to help prevent loss of body heat and protect you during emergencies.
