The Canadian Wildlife Federation's (CWF) program, the Canadian Conservation Corps (CCC), is dedicated to inspiring and connecting youth aged 18 to 30 with conservation opportunities across Canada. Through this program, participants not only receive leadership skills training and travel opportunities but also contribute to their communities.

The third and final component of the CCC program focuses on giving back to the community by turning ideas into action and inspiring other young people to get involved. As part of this effort, the BWG Library invites families with children aged 6 to 11 years old to join Katelyn Johnson, one of ten participants in the 2023 CCC program, for the "Our Feathered Friends" presentation on Saturday, March 16th, from 10 to 11 am in the Jamal Pascall Room.

Katelyn will introduce children to wild birds in the BWG community and discuss conservation efforts here. She will help children understand bird diets, identify at-risk bird species, prevent collisions, and protect birds from cat attacks.

Attendees will receive helpful handouts and FREE bird seed to take home!
