#ITSTARTS Month

#ITSTARTS is a public awareness campaign designed to take a proactive step toward addressing racism and discrimination in Simcoe County. #ITSTARTS works to promote a unified community that encourages collective action against racism and discrimination. BWG held a flag raising for #ITSTARTS Month on Monday, March 4 at the Court House Courtyard.

Persian Heritage Month

The contributions of the Persian community have become an integral part of Bradford West Gwillimbury's identity, enriching its cultural, economic, and social landscape. The town acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of its Persian residents, who continue to play a vital role in its development and prosperity.

International Women’s Day (March 8)

Transit Driver Appreciation Day (March 18)

National Transit Driver Appreciation Day falls on March 18th, providing an opportunity for us to express our gratitude for the dedication, professionalism, and service of BWG's transit staff.

The General Assembly of the United Nations has designated March 21 as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Racial discrimination is a universal issue that divides communities and threatens the political, social, economic, and cultural foundations on which our cities and towns are built.

Epilepsy Awareness Month / Purple Day (March 26)

Epilepsy Awareness Month is a global effort dedicated to promoting epilepsy awareness in countries around the world. Purple Day is celebrated on March 26th annually to increase understanding, reduce stigma and improve the quality of life for people with Epilepsy throughout the country and globally.
