We asked the Innisfil municipal election candidates to introduce themselves. Here is what Eisses had to say

My name is Kevin Eisses, and I am running for town council.

I am passionate about serving the community that I treasure, as I was born in Innisfil 51 years ago.

I raised my family here. I continue to live in Ward 1 and work on a farm that has been family-owned and operated since my grandfather bought the land on Innisfil Beach Road in 1961.

As a farmer, I know about cultivating land and nurturing seeds. The great attention and care I employ within my profession is the same dedication that you deserve from your town council representative.

Like my family’s crops, the roots of my family tree run deep in the town of Innisfil, and I would be honoured to nurture your ideas and plant the seeds of continued growth and strong values within town council on your behalf, if elected in October.

Like you, as a resident of Ward 1, I am deeply impacted by the decisions made by town council. Your concerns are my concerns, and I believe that with open communication and care, we can rectify the issues that matter to all of us.

I am involved in many organizations: I am the chairperson for the Loaves and Fishes Growing project in South Simcoe, which donates proceeds from growing crops to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank; the vice-president of education at the Barrie Small Business Toastmasters club; and I was president of a provincial farm organization (Innovative Farmers Association of Ontario) for two years and its board member for seven years.

As well, I enjoyed volunteering for the Barrie Out of the Cold shelter for more than 15 years.

With my experience and passion to serve our growing community, I am eager to ensure that your concerns and opinions are valued and represented.

Thank you for considering me for Innisfil town council.

Elect Kevin Eisses for Ward 1.
