Taxes must be 'flat-lined,' says Innisfil deputy mayor candidate Dan Davidson

We asked the Innisfil municipal election candidates to introduce themselves. Here is what Davidson had to say

Innisfil is my town. I have lived here for more than 30 years. My business is here, my friends are here — there is no place I would rather be.

In the time that I have lived here and owned and operated a business, I have seen so many changes — some great and some not so good. Change happens, but managing change is vitally important.

My friends, neighbours, and the people I have spoken with are worried, and I agree with them. Yes, Innisfil is growing, but we are just not managing that growth well.

I know we can do better! That is why I am running for deputy mayor of Innisfil.

I have served two terms on town council, most recently as deputy mayor. During my time at town hall, I fought to manage growth, protect our environment, keep taxes low, and create amenities for residents to enjoy.

Experience counts, and I know I have the experience, commitment, and vision we need to manage Innisfil’s future for all our residents.

Taxes are too high and need to be flat-lined. Our infrastructure needs repair, and gridlock concerns us all. We also must be watchful of the health of Lake Simcoe and our environment. Resolving these issues, and managing sustainable growth, is why I am running for deputy mayor.

I would like to ask you to vote for me, Dan Davidson, as your deputy mayor. My commitment: I will make sure your voice is heard at town hall.

As your deputy mayor, you can count on me to listen to your concerns, and respond to your emails and calls within 24 hours. Together we will make Innisfil an even better place to live, invest, and enjoy.

Deputy mayor candidates: Dan Davidson, Steven Fishman, Angela Gravelle, Henry Kooistra, and Paul Best.

Angela Gravelle did not respond to BradfordToday's inquiries for comment.
