Bradford woman in her 50s hospitalized for COVID-19

A Bradford woman in her 50s is one of seven new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region

A woman in her 50s is Bradford's latest COVID-19 case.

She is among one of the seven new cases in the area reported by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit today. 

The woman acquired the virus through community spread and is hospitalized at Southlake Regional Health Centre. 

SMDHU is now reporting 29 lab confirmed cases in the region, with confirmed cases in Collingwood, Barrie, Orillia, Springwater, Clearview, New Tecumseth, Bradford, Essa and Huntsville. 

There have been three deaths in the region attributed to COVID-19 and there are at least five hospitalized, though the health unit has not reported details on all 29 cases yet.
