Effective today, the COVID-19 outbreak involving one resident has been declared over.

A resident who was in the hospital last week for another undisclosed  health issue, contracted the virus during their hospital say.

As a precaution all residents were tested for the virus, with all results coming back negative.

"Public Health has reviewed the circumstances that were used to declare the outbreak and have assessed that there is no exposure or acquisition risk at our residence," said a spokesperson for The Elden. "We are grateful for the cooperation of everyone involved."
