One new case of COVID-19 reported in Bradford today

The health unit reported 27 new cases in the Simcoe-Muskoka region this week

There are two new cases of COVID-19 reported in Simcoe County today. 

The two today brings the week’s total to 27 cases, which is eight more than the local health unit reported last week (June 1-5). 

The latest cases reported include a Bradford West-Gwillimbury man in his 30s and a girl between 10 and 19 from Penetanguishene. 

The Bradford case is reported as community-acquired and the Penetanguishene case is still under investigation. 

Also since yesterday's report, one person from Bradford has been hospitalized.

As of today, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has reported a total of 513 cases with 436 (85 per cent) now recovered. 

There have been 36 deaths in the region (35 in Simcoe County) and there are currently six people in hospital with COVID-19. 

There are 41 active cases of the coronavirus in the region, one of which is in Muskoka and the rest are in Simcoe County.
