Adult social night coming back to the Village Inn this November (5 photos)

Bradford Mix & Mingle event coming back in November

Bradford’s first mix and mingle social event was so popular that the event organizers have decided to host another.

The Mix & Mingle 2 will be taking place on Saturday  Nov. 9 at 9 p.m. at the Village Inn.

“The first one was so busy and popular," said Jackie Kozak, the event creator.

The idea for the original event came after much discussion by organizers, Kozak and Natasha Leskiw about seeing the need for more adult friendly events in town.

It’s not just for singles looking to mingle, it is for anyone who is looking for friendship or companionship as well.

Like the first event, this one will have table questions and name tags for the group to get to know each other a bit better.

"By the end of the night everybody was wearing name tags," said Kozak about the first event. "We actually ran out and we had almost 100 nametags. I think that was the highlight, something so simple yet very inviting for people."

The ladies plan to bring more nametags next time, as well as more games and table topics.

"We had cups on all the tables with over 200 fun ice breaker topics, questions, and games like, buy a drink for someone across the table from you or describe your perfect date," shared Kozak.

November’s event will feature oversized board games on the dance floor for all to play, as well as prizes sponsored by Experience Toys and Games.

In September, the event drew people in from all over the region including, Newmarket, Barrie and even Brampton.

"We were also pleased to see the numbers for the LGBTQ community as well which was in strong support at the event," said Kozak. "We even had some married husbands and wives who came out and said that they felt like they were on a first date again."

“I’m very happy that this event is being well received and it looks like we’re going to be doing this every month now, as there’s a definite need for people to connect in this town,” said Kozak.

The event is free and people can RSVP on the group's Facebook page here.
